In the previous chapter prior to toriko chapter 139, Zebra and Toriko asked Komatsu to direct and give them the instructions on how they will proceed in cooking their monster foe. It was very tough fight for the two making them used most of their stored energy. Komatsu must put all his concentration in to extract the Mellow Cola out of the beasts tears. With his passion and determination, using Toriko and Zebra as his tools to cook, they all succeeded in their goal. But wait! just when they were about to enjoy their newly cooked meal, the unexpected happened. Komatsu was pierced from behind by one of their enemies. It was a shocking site Toriko and Zebra because they thought that the battle is finally over.
