Chicago Bulls Profile - The Chicago Bulls are an American professional basketball team based in Chicago, Illinois, playing in the Central Division of the Eastern Conference in the National Basketball Association (NBA). The team was founded in 1966. They play their home games at the United Center. The team is well known for having one of the greatest dynasties in NBA and sports history during the 1990s, winning six championships in eight years with two three-peats. All six of those championship teams were led by Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen and coach Phil Jackson. The first three championship teams included the likes of Bill Cartwright, Horace Grant, John Paxson and B.J. Armstrong, while the latter three championship teams had Luc Longley, Steve Kerr, Ron Harper, Toni Kukoč, and Dennis Rodman on the roster. The Bulls won an NBA record 72 games during the 1995–96 NBA season and are the only team in NBA history to win 70 games or better in a single season. During the 1990s, the Bulls helped spread the popularity of the NBA around the world. The 1998 NBA Finals, the Bulls' most recent championship appearance, was the most watched championship series in NBA history. The Bulls have never lost an NBA Finals in their six appearances.

Nama Chicago Bulls diberikan oleh pemilik klub, Dick Klein, berdasarkan nama sebuah industri peternakan yang ada di kota tersebut. Klub ini pada tahun 1990-an pernah memenangkan sejumlah gelar NBA dengan dimotori para pemain bintangnya, yaitu Michael Jordan dan Scottie Pippen.
Pada musim pertamanya bergabung dalam NBA di tahun 1966/67, Bulls berhasil merebut 33 kemenangan sepanjang musim dan menembus babak playoff (penentuan). Pada musim tersebut, Bulls bermain di stadion Chicago Amphitheater. Setahun kemudian, tim tersebut menempati markas baru yang disebut Chicago Stadium. Pada tahun 1994, Bulls memiliki stadion baru yang dinamakan United Center. Stadion berkapasitas 21,711 kursi itu dibangun oleh pemilik klub, Jerry Reinsdorf, dan William Wirtz, pemilik klub hoki Chicago Blackhawks. Saat Jordan bergabung dengan Bulls, dia berhasil merebut 6 gelar pemain terbaik NBA dan membawa klubnya pada musim terbaik di tahun 1995/96 dengan rekor menang-kalah (72-10). Setelah Jordan pensiun, Bulls mengalami musim terburuk pada tahun 2000/2001 dengan hanya memenangkan 15 pertandingan dan kalah sebanyak 67 kali.
