Ocimnet - South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung is expected to make its latest flagship Android handset, the Samsung Galaxy S II, available for purchase in Canada in late second quarter, or in the beginning of the third quarter of the ongoing year.
The company is reportedly working with carriers in the country to finalize details of the launch, and expects for the release to take place in the aforementioned time frame.
According to a recent article on MobyleSyrup, Samsung VP Paul Brennan was the one who confirmed these details, but was unable to offer specific info on the price tag at which the new device would be released on shelves.
All in all, the great news is that the thin Android-based mobile phone would be soon rocking the Canadian market on the airwaves of various carriers in the country.
Of course, we would still have to wait for an official announcement on this to be made to learn all the specific details of the deal, but that might happen soon, so stay tuned.
In the meantime, we should have a look at the specification list of the new device, in case there are some of you who might have missed them before.
The new Samsung Galaxy S II arrives on shelves with a large 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen display, complemented by a dual-core processor from Samsung, with each core clocked in at 1.2GHz.
