Ocimnet - Apple have announced that an updated Operating System, version 10.7 - Lion, is due to be released this month. In testing for this update, Sports Interactive discovered that machines without a battery would not run the game. To fix this, they have just released a patch to the game that you will need to install if you wish to continue playing FM2011 after upgrading to Lion.
If you downloaded Football Manager 2011 through Steam, this patch will be automatically downloaded assuming the machine is connected online. Otherwise you can manually download and install the patch by clicking the download button and following the instructions. This patch will not affect any saved games you may have so you'll be able to continue playing from where you left off after having installed it.
If you don't upgrade to Lion and have no wish to do so, then you do not need to install the patch to continue playing.
