The 23-year-old singer lifted up her head and displayed the two tiny scars as she performed on stage at the music event at Hylands Park in Chelmsford, Essex.
It is not known how Rihanna got the scar, but the singer didn't have it when she performed on The X Factor last October.
The scar could possibly be from a plastic surgery procedure, such as chin augmentation or reduction or a chin lift.It has previously been reported that she also has a permanent scar on her lip from where her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown punched her in 2009.
Brown pleaded guilty to assault in 2009 and was given five years probation.
Rihanna, who wore a revealing denim shirt and tiny shorts for the performance at V, treated fans to a string of hits including What's My Name, Disturbia, Rude Boy and S&M.
It has also been claimed Rihanna made something of a celebrity fan through her performance at V in the form of Ellie Goulding.
Starry Eyed singer Ellie was the apparently the only star allowed to watch Rihanna's set from the side of the stage.
And, after the performance, Rihanna invited Ellie backstage to her dressing room where they chatted and exchanged phone numbers.
