'Aakrosh' addresses the horrific spate of honour killings that captured the national media's attention recently. Director Priyadarshan for the most part tells a compelling tale as he attempts to incorporate the various aspects of this deplorably prevalent practice in many parts of India.
Sidhant Chaturvedi (Akshaye Khanna) and Pratap Kumar (Ajay Devgn) are a part of the CBI team that is sent to investigate the sudden disappearance of three medical students in Bihar. Their attempt to find justice is thwarted in a village where caste politics dictates social interaction and the nexus between hard-line politicians and corrupt police officers is impossible to penetrate.
